Otong MS
Otong MS was born in Semarang, Central Java, on 24 February 1970. He only finished his study until High School.

Since his early childhood he was fond of drawing, coloring, and also making caricatures. Starting 1992, he took an art lesson in Semarang from Master of Art Realist at that time, Mr. Kok Poo.

For the first six months he learned sketches using pencil, then proceeded to oil painting. After oil painting media, six months later, under the guidance and supervision of Mr. Kok Poo, he began to show his paintings in Art Exposition.

Only from that time on, his paintings were already well appreciated and many art collectors interested in collecting his works, so Otong MS decided to focus his career as a full time painter.

The concept of his latest paintings:

Fruits won’t fall far from its tree“, meaning when the seed has good quality, the fruit will turn up well. It is picturized with a fruit seed which is tightened in red string, that expresses the love-knot of the family.

The fruits always placed in a container, made of bamboo or rattan, that expresses a strong affection, happiness and prosperity.

The newspaper is a symbol of fame and popularity. This is a wish and prayer so that the family and his successor will have great success and will be well known all over the world.
